Description: Eaton 9SX 15kVA/20kVA is a compact 3U, online double-conversion UPS with unity power factor (VA=W), high efficiency (up to 96%, and up to 98.8% in ESS mode), and flexible wiring modes to suit diverse electrical environments. Built for high-density racks and harsh sites, it supports parallel redundancy, scalable external batteries, and rich monitoring/management through a touch LCD and multiple communication interfaces.

Topology & efficiency: Online double-conversion efficiency up to 96%; ESS (high-efficiency) mode up to 98.8% with a fast transfer back to online mode (<2 ms).
High power density / compact size: 3U profile (129 mm height), 438 mm wide (fits standard 19" racks), 589 mm depth (works well in 800 mm cabinets).
Parallel capability: Up to 3 units in parallel for redundancy and capacity expansion (up to 45kW / 60kW, depending on model).
Versatile wiring: Supports 3:3, 3:1, and 1:1 input/output modes; utility input and bypass input can be single-source or dual-source—all supported by one SKU via jumper configuration.
Wide input tolerance: 160–300 Vac at full load; 100–160 Vac with linear derating. Input frequency 40–70 Hz; input PF >0.995.
Output power quality: Voltage regulation ±1%, low distortion (THDv 1% linear / 3% non-linear), crest factor 3:1.
Overload capability (line mode): 105–125% for 10 min, 125–150% for 1 min, >150% for 0.5 s.
Battery system: No internal batteries; minimum 2 external battery modules (EBMs) for backup; scalable up to 6 pairs of EBMs. Charger current adjustable 0–13A; recharge to 90% in ~3 hours (with 2 EBMs).
HMI & connectivity: Large color touch LCD with gravity sensor auto-rotation; ports include RS232, USB, dry I/O, EPO, and an intelligent mini-slot for network/Modbus/environment monitoring cards; compatible with power management software for major OS and virtualization platforms.
