Eaton Gigabit Network Card (Network-M3)

• What it is: A UPS connectivity and remote management card that combines comprehensive power-event automation with market-leading cybersecurity for medium and enterprise IT networks.

• Security-first design: Zero-trust architecture with hardware root of trust, enabling secure boot and a complete chain of trust to reduce cybersecurity vulnerabilities.

• Fast deployment: Zero-touch provisioning for rapid, automated configuration—especially valuable for large-scale rollouts.

• Remote monitoring & automation: Enables remote monitoring/control and automated actions during power events (e.g., graceful shutdown, VM reallocation) when used with Eaton management software suites.

• User-configurable firewall: Helps reduce the attack surface and align with network/security compliance requirements.

• Integration-ready: REST API for easy integration with native systems and automated machine-to-machine workflows.

• Environmental monitoring (optional): Supports an Environmental Monitoring Probe (EMP Gen 2) for temperature/humidity and dry-contact monitoring; can be daisy-chained (up to 3 probes per host).

• Networking & protocols: Supports IPv4/IPv6 and common secure protocols (e.g., TLS 1.2, HTTPS, SNMP v3, SSH, Syslog, SMTP(S), NTP, LDAP/AD, RADIUS, DHCP/BOOTP).

• Hardware / slot / ports: Mini-slot card; Ethernet 10/100/1000BaseT; USB for accessories + USB configuration port.

• Compatibility (examples): Works with multiple Eaton UPS families (including 5P/5PX/9PX/9SX/93PS/91PS, etc.) and selected Eaton PDUs/ATS devices (model-dependent).

• Operating conditions: 0–40°C, up to 90% RH non-condensing.
