  • Description: Eaton 9395XR is a high-efficiency, modular 3-phase online UPS built for large data centers, scaling in 125 kW hot-swappable power modules up to 1.5–1.8 MW per frame and up to 6 MW in parallel. With lithium-ion compatibility, >97% double-conversion efficiency (up to 99% with ESS), and fast module replacement, it delivers high availability with lower operating cost.

Eaton 9395XR UPS

  • What it is: A large-scale, modular 3-phase online double-conversion UPS designed for modern data centers, lithium-ion compatible and optimized for high efficiency and serviceability.

  • System capacity: 1500 kW or 1800 kW frame options; scalable via 125 kW hot-swappable UPM power modules.

  • Parallel scalability: Up to 4 systems in parallel for a maximum of 6 MW.

  • Efficiency: >97% in double-conversion mode; up to 99% with Energy Saver System (ESS).

  • Fast service / low MTTR: Online replaceable UPM modules with MTTR as low as ~5 minutes (service continuity).

  • Input performance (generator friendly): High input power factor >0.99 and low harmonics THDi <3% at full load.

  • Electrical (typical):

    • Input: 380/400/415 V, 50/60 Hz; wide input voltage window (L-L and L-N ranges supported).

    • Output: 380/400/415 V, 3-wire or 4-wire; voltage regulation ±1% (steady state); low distortion (<1% linear / <3% non-linear).

    • Overload: 125% for 10 minutes.

  • Battery compatibility: Supports Lithium-ion, VRLA, and Ni-Cad; battery bus 360–640 Vdc; supports common battery configurations; charging methods include BMS/ABM/float options.

  • Monitoring & connectivity: Large color touchscreen with clear status/energy tracking and visible LED status bars; supports common protocols (e.g., HTTP(S), SNMP, Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet IP) via optional communication cards; compatible with power management software for virtualized environments.

  • Energy-aware capability (optional): With upgrade kits and lithium storage, can support applications such as peak shaving, time-of-use optimization, demand response, and frequency regulation.
