  • Description: Eaton 93PR is a high-efficiency, modular three-phase UPS that scales in 60 kW hot-swappable building blocks, delivering >97% double-conversion efficiency and up to 99% in ESS mode while minimizing footprint and downtime. With VMMS part-load optimization, Hot Sync resiliency, and lithium-ion compatibility plus rich monitoring/connectivity, it is designed for modern mission-critical data center and infrastructure environments.

Eaton 93PR UPS 

  • What it is: A modular, three-phase, transformer-free UPS for mission-critical facilities such as data centers, healthcare, commercial buildings, control centers, and process industries.

  • Power range / frames: Available as 300 kW, 400 kW, 600 kW, and 1200 kW frames (rated kVA = kW).

  • Modular growth & redundancy: Uses 60 kW hot-swappable power modules to scale capacity and build internal redundancy; supports both vertical expansion (more modules per frame) and horizontal expansion (parallel systems).

  • High efficiency: >97% efficiency in double-conversion mode; up to 99% in Energy Saver System (ESS) for lower energy and cooling cost.

  • Advanced power conversion: 3-level SiC hybrid IGBT rectifier and inverter with microprocessor-based control for high performance and reliability.

  • Optimized part-load efficiency: VMMS (Variable Module Management System) balances/suspends extra capacity to keep efficiency high at low loads—ideal for redundant architectures.

  • Parallel resiliency: Hot Sync algorithm removes single-point-of-failure risks in parallel operation by allowing each module/UPS to contribute independently.

  • Battery flexibility: Compatible with Lithium-ion, VRLA, and Ni-Cad battery systems; battery bus 360–700 Vdc; supports common battery configurations.

  • Generator-friendly input: High input performance with PF >0.99 and THDi <3% (at 100% load); rectifier soft-start/ramp-up settings support generator operation.

  • Operations & monitoring: Large 7-inch color touchscreen, LED light bars visible from a distance, event/energy tracking, and integration with virtualization platforms via power management software.

  • Connectivity: Multiple communication slots; USB device/host; alarm inputs, dedicated EPO, and relay outputs; optional cards for SNMP, Modbus TCP/RTU, BACnet IP, etc.
